I do use Time Machine for one backup. There was also a developer version 6. I backup with CCC daily. You can now work with the mounted volume as you would any regular volume.

Thanks for the reply. Furthermore, for people backing up TBs of data it is difficult to get enough storage space for Time Machine at any reasonable cost. In order to understand more your suggestion, in order to use CCC as an extra tool on top of TM, do you have to connect it to an external HD or just sync on another partition on TC?
